Meet Lithuanian startup and fintech ecosystem

We know, at least, 3 reasons to consider Lithuania as a home for your startup

  1. BLOOMING FINTECH In 2017, the Bank of Lithuania launched EU financial licenses for fintech startups, which resulted in rapid growth of Lithuanian FinTech ecosystem and new opportunities for the market players. At the moment, Lithuania takes the second place, only after the UK, for the number of licenses issued. You can get a license in 3 months, which is 2-3 times faster than in any other EU country. It’s not a surprise, that Lithuania’s FinTech industry grew by 45% in 2018.
  2. LIFE AND BUSINESS FRIENDLY Many companies choose Lithuania because of efficient processes as well as excellent infrastructure. A company can be opened in Lithuania in one week and this can be done entirely online. Vilnius municipality and many other governmental bodies officially operate in 3 languages (English being one of them). Majority of governmental and legal services are done online using a mobile signature. Vilnius offers the most cutting edge co-working spaces as well as high quality of life.
  3. STARTUP VISA Startup Visa program allows startups to register their company in Lithuania with a minimum capital requirement (2500 Eur) and access to the entire EU market. In 2018, three new VC funds were established in Lithuania and now Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, is becoming one of the most attractive locations for startups looking to scale globally.
